To provide local high school students with in-person research opportunities, Sebastian is the Project Director of the RISER (Research Immersion in biomedical Science & Engineering at Rowan) Program, a 6-week summer experience that places talented students in labs to conduct their own guided yet independent research. To-date, 77 high school students have participated as RISER Scholars and presented their work in front of nominating teachers, host labs, and family/friends during the annual RISER Summer Symposium.
